Pupils “Solve it!” at Maths Week
Stamford Junior School’s annual Maths Week centred on Problem Solving, with a whole variety of activities taking place for all of the students.
The week began with Years Reception, 2, 4 and 6 taking part in a problem solving workshop run by the ‘Happy Puzzle Company’, which was kindly funded by the P.A. The children engaged in a variety of problem solving activities which promoted focus and collaboration.
Thursday saw the second of the whole school workshops. This time it was the turn of Years 1, 3 and 5 to participate in workshops run by the ‘Hands on Maths Roadshow’. The variety of activities and level of challenge faced by the children tested their skills of resilience.
