SES Students Support Charity Ball
Pupils from the Stamford Endowed Schools volunteered to help run the Evergreen Care Trust 2010 Charity Ball at The Haycock Hotel, Wansford, on 16th October 2010.
This year was the fourth Charity Ball held to celebrate the work of the Stamford and Bourne based charity that cares for older and vulnerable adults in our community.
Pupils from the SES volunteered their Saturday evening to attend the Ball and run the Tombola and Silent auction. Gifts for these were donated by local companies and individuals whose generosity enabled the charity to raise over £4000 on the evening.
This year’s Ball was attended by representatives of XT, Kiwanis, Rotary, Inner Wheel, Hanson Cement, Cummins Generators and local churches, demonstrating the breadth of support from our whole community for those the Trust serves.
Louise Marsh, Chief Executive Officer of the Evergreen Care Trust, said “This was a truly wonderful evening at which our volunteers, staff and supporters were able to enjoy a fantastic meal, in a terrific atmosphere and also raised some much needed funds to support our vital work. My grateful thanks on behalf of our older and vulnerable clients to all who supported and made this possible”
