Grateful to receive a portion of the donation, Helen praised the efforts that the students had gone to, and spoke about the Teenage Cancer Action Week, which runs from 28th September to 4th October, as a way of raising awareness of common sign of cancer in young people (details below).

Tom Billington’s mother, Amelia, also spoke to the boys who had raised money for the charities that helped her son and her family throughout the course of his illness. She thanked their determination on the sponsored walk, which took place on one of the hottest days of the year.
