SES Hosts Chinese Delegates
On Monday 25th January 2016 Stamford School was delighted to host visitors from the city of Wujiang in Jiangsu Province, China.
Six visitors, representing a school and members of local government, toured the School with the help of excellent student guides James Zhang (Y12), Andy Kot (Y9) and James Zeng (Y9). They specifically asked to witness Music and Maths lessons and were extremely impressed with the high levels of interaction between teachers and pupils.
As a token of their gratitude, Principal of Stamford Endowed Schools, Stephen Roberts was presented with a beautiful calligraphy painting. The Schools are committed to broadening its international links, extending its reach beyond the purely local environments and reflecting the greater engagement our pupils will have in the global marketplace.
Registrar of Stamford Endowed Schools, Felicity Larter, said; “Thanks to the guides and to the teaching staff in maths and music who all worked to ensure the visit was a resounding success.”
