EAL Students Visit Woolsthorpe Manor
Seven Year 9 and Year 10 EAL students from Stamford School visited the birthplace of Sir Isaac Newton, Woolsthorpe Manor earlier this month. The trip included a guided tour of the National Trust property, and a chance to perform experiments in the Science Centre.
Highlights of the day were seeing what life was like in seventeenth century England, visiting the orchard where Newton famously discovered the law of gravity and learning about Newton’s Laws of Motion. The visit concluded with the students building and launching their own rockets.
