Fifty children in Y4 at Stamford Junior School recently gave a fantastic Aztec assembly to parents.
The Y4 children are currently studying the Aztec period in their History lessons. The storyline of the assembly covered the coming of the Spanish and the fall of the Aztec Empire, and contained a lot of accurate historical detail outlining the magnificence and achievements of the Aztec nation.
The assembly was also cross-curricular, as the Aztec headdresses and shields were made in Art lessons, the cloaks were made in D.T. and the Spanish songs were learnt in Spanish lessons.
Well done to all the children involved.
