Stamford School Boys Attend Engineering Education Scheme Placement
Will Joyce, Robin Virgo, Sam Andrew and Sean Perry from year 12 spent 14th-16th December 2009 at Loughborough University, where they built a working generator as part of the Engineering Education Scheme (EES). They were tasked with an exciting project to design an eco-friendly way of generating energy from recycled goods to power Christmas tree lights. Cummins Generators sponsored the team this year and gave the boys the opportunity to liaise with an engineer and visit the company’s facilities in Stamford.
