History Teacher to present a conference in Virginia
SHS history teacher, Hannah Grant, has been asked to represent the Transatlantic Teachers Programme by presenting a conference in Virginia on the 28th September.
Since February, Hannah has been working on a programme to develop classroom resources for teaching ‘Nations in Conflict: WWI and WWII’, based on the collections of The National Archives in the UK and USA. As a result of this work she now has the honour of being able to present the teaching kits and experiences of the programme with other history teachers from across Virginia.
Hannah will be jetting off on the 27th September and we are sure that she will bring back some useful ideas that will benefit the history department at SHS. We would like to wish her the best of luck for what promises to be a once in a lifetime opportunity.
