Young Chefs display their talents at SHS

 Stamford High School hosted the annual Rotary Club Young Chef competition with seven young chefs from across Stamford taking part.

The student’s from Stamford High School, Queen Eleanor and Stamford School had to prepare a two course meal for under ten pounds, and they only had 1 ½ hours to cook and present their work. A whole range of delicious and inventive meals were served up to the judges.

Stamford School student, Alex Keys Y13, won the competition with his pheasant and pearl barley risotto, followed by a pear pie. Dayna Chamberlain from Stamford High School came 2nd with her chicken curry, garlic naan and saffron rice followed by profiteroles filled with caramel cream and choc sauce.
