Sports Centre Opens to Public
Following the recent approval from SKDC to allow the Stamford Endowed Schools to open its sports centre to a limited number of the public, the Schools’ are pleased to announce that from 6th January 2014, 300 members will be able to take advantage of the facilities.
The sports centre includes a 25 metre swimming pool, a 30 station air conditioned fitness suite with state-of-the-art Life Fitness equipment as well as a free weights area. Members will be able to use the sports centre facilities between the hours of 5.30pm-8.30pm term time week days, at weekends and during increased opening hours in the School holiday periods.
The SES sports centre is offering membership for either an individual or for a family, who can choose from the Silver membership (use of the pool) or the Gold membership (use of the pool and fitness suite). The sports centre will also provide a range of fitness classes for a small additional cost to the membership.
Stephen Roberts, Principal of the Stamford Endowed Schools, said: “We are very pleased to be expanding the membership of the Sports Centre. Our Schools have a strong commitment to supporting the Stamford community and this facility will greatly enhance the town’s sporting provision. The 25m pool will be particularly welcomed by serious swimmers. It will be pleasing to see the Centre being well used beyond the school day and in the holidays.”
