Old Boy Selected for England in Six Nations

louis grimoldby six nationsStamford School Old Boy and 2011 First XV Captain, Louis Grimoldby, has been selected for the England U20 team ahead of the Six Nations at the end of the month. Since being signed by premiership side Harlequins back in 2012, Louis has developed his game to the next level. The U20s team will begin their pursuit of a fourth successive RBS Six Nations title in France on the 31st January.

Louis has continued to progress his game since making his First XV debut at Oakham School when he was in Year 11. He has since made the leap from England Schools rugby to the England U19 team and now to the U20s. Harlequins have a superb track record of developing young talent so this could be the start of something big for the young star.

The Director of Sport at Stamford School, David Laventure, comments: “It’s always fantastic to see the boys fulfilling their potential in whatever walk of  and Louis really deserves it after all of his hard work. It’s great when he pops back to Stamford to chat to the younger players or runs out onto the pitch with them. Its inspirational for them to see anything is possible!”
