SHS Football Team Reach Semi-Final

 As the Independent Schools Football Association (ISFA) champions, the Stamford High School team are making excellent progress defending their title, defeating Oakham 7-0 in the quarter finals.

After a tentative start in very windy conditions the girls’ took control of the match with two goals from Abby Brewin, giving them a 2-0 lead at half time. With the wind behind them Stamford then started dominating the game with Abby Brewin scoring another three goals, and Hannah Brewis and Rosie Coe adding a goal apiece, making the final score 7-0.

Stamford High School will meet the winners of Welbeck Defence College vs. Repton in the semi-finals next month, with the final being played at Boreham Wood, the home of Arsenal Ladies.
